Yay! It wasn't my finest creation, but my modern inspired wreath was this year's winner in the 3rd Annual King Ranch Wreath Decorating Contest! Beautifully decorated in non traditional colors of dark red, gold, and black, my wreath stole the show! Decorative accents on the wreath included 2 large dark red silk poinsettias, 1 gold glittered dark red hydrangea, crystal frosted red apples and holly, 4 black crystal teardrops, gold and traditional pine cones, several small gold fine curly ting, 1 golden cane cone, and several gold, glittered black and red ornaments. A mid-sized shiny (red with black motif patterned) bow topped the wreath. Galveston Island Beauty 09/08/2008
I've been vacationing so much this summer and my two visits to Galveston have been great inspirations. The historical architecture on the island is gorgeous. I toured the Moody mansion this past weekend and it reminded me of my own home, which will be 100 years old in 2009! The great space and detailed craftmanship was so amazing. I plan on attending the loft tour this year in October. I toured the downtown lofts in 2004, so I am excited to see them all again. They were beautiful and the architecture was simply captivating. |
